students. Children will participate in age level activities, attend the chil-dren’s service that morning and visit the playground (weather permitting). An allergy conscious snack will be provided. Please provide all the neces-sary items to make your child comfortable. You will be asked to sign your child in and provide a cell phone number of contact during the ser-vice. Please see page 9 for registration details.

SOUP’S ON!

Every year the Rosh Hashanah Youth Programming creates soup for our Chesed Committee to give out to those in need during the year. The children wash and chop vegetables and create soup kits that are taken home with instructions to make soup. Families return the soup on Yom Kippur and we store it in our freezer for future delivery. This is the ultimate mitzvah for the holiday. There is no fee for Congregation Sinai’s High Holiday Youth Programming. When you register for programming – you will be asked about contributing a soup item. Such as: carrots, celery, zucchini, yellow neck squash, corn, green beans, mushrooms, onions, broccoli, root vegetables or fresh herbs. We ask that you bring with you on Rosh Hashanah morning to contribute to our soup! Thank you!

Teen Programming - 7th and 8th Grades

For both Rosh Hashanah our 7th and 8th graders will have a chance to take a break from the main service to have a discussion in a relaxed atmosphere. Topics may include: morale issues facing teens and the Jewish response to the issue and given the election this year, he will explore: Is G-d on “our” side? Does G-d take sides? Should G-d take sides? And, what happens when people believe that G-d is on their side?
